The LungHealth4Life (LH4L) project is a project co-financed by the European Commission under the EU4Health program, launched in September 2024. The project is dedicated to raising awareness of lung health among school youth. It will raise awareness and encourage children and young people and their caregivers to take care of their lungs from an early age.
The project is implemented in Poland, Portugal and Hungary. The coordinator of the LH4F Project in Poland is Dr. hab. med. Piotr Dąbrowiecki, member of the PTA main board and Chairman of the Polish Federation of Asthma, Allergy and COPD Patients’ Associations (member of the Coalition for Asthma Treatment).
We encourage PTA members to join the Community of Practice (CoP) – the LungHealth4Life (LH4L) Community of Practice. This is a unique opportunity to share your knowledge about lung health throughout Europe.
The project objectives were defined as: building a knowledge base on effective strategies to encourage children to take care of their health introducing lung health checks as a standard for assessing student health defining the barriers to improving health faced by children and young people, including social, health and environmental factors that cause inequalities in access to knowledge and care providing medically verified education on factors contributing to the development and exacerbation of chronic lung diseases (allergen prophylaxis in children with allergies) early detection of lung problems among school-age children.
